The Compaq Big Band, featuring vocalist Marina Evans, returns to City Winery with a phenomenal holiday show on December 12.
Filled with seasonal favorites like you've never heard them before - powerful, inspirational, and just plain fun. Even the biggest Grinch can't help but get in the Christmas spirit!
The styles you'll hear run the gamut from terrific swing and jazz treatments of holiday classics to very UNtraditional variations of jazz rock, ballad, samba and jazz waltz – all high-energy arrangements from such greats as Gordon Goodwin, Count Basie, Tom Kubis, Sammy Nestico, and John Clayton. Marina Evans will be channelin' Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Linda Eder, Mariah Carey, and much more.
City Winery is located in the heart of Downtown Boston, close to familiar landmarks such as the Haymarket, North End, TD Garden, and Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market.
